Panorama

Rugged Sentinel command workstation showing Panorama, Edge and human-authority controls.
A deployed command position with antennas, rugged computers and operator stations.

Panorama is the ground-side fusion and visualization layer within Sentinel. It correlates track reports, platform positions, telemetry, external sensor feeds and terrain context into one common operational picture.

The operator sees the formation and the mission as a system rather than as a wall of disconnected vehicle screens.

The gap it closes

Each drone, detector and external sensor can produce its own track list and user interface. Without fusion, operators must decide whether several reports describe one object, compare timestamps by hand and move between screens before they can act.

Panorama correlates those inputs and presents one shared picture for tasking, supervision and review.

Inputs

  • track state from Sentinel Edge sensing and target-tracking functions;
  • position, navigation state and telemetry from connected platforms;
  • RF, acoustic, optical and radar tracks from the counter-UAS sensing layer;
  • customer sensor and tactical-data feeds through standard integration interfaces; and
  • terrain and satellite basemap data selected for the deployment.

Operator view

Panorama provides:

  • a common map of friendly assets, tracks and mission areas;
  • mission planning and platform-tasking tools;
  • formation and link-state awareness;
  • positive-action ARM controls where the operator’s role permits them; and
  • mission recording and replay for after-action review, training and audit.

Views can be filtered to the operator’s responsibility. A mission commander needs the whole formation; an FPV pilot needs the selected airframe, its handoff state and the threat information relevant to that engagement.

Sentinel relationship

Panorama is the visible expression of Sentinel Fusion. Fusion correlates and recommends; Sentinel Command holds tasking and authorization. The picture can support the decision but does not bypass the human authority boundary.

It runs on the Tairos Ground segment and consumes data carried by Sentinel Mesh and Relay.

Advantages

  • One picture reduces duplicate tracks and screen switching.
  • Mixed Tairos platforms and external sensors can contribute to the same mission view.
  • Role-filtered views preserve context without giving every operator the same controls.
  • Recording and replay support training, accountability and technical review.
