Iris T is the fixed-wing member of the Iris family. It uses fixed-wing efficiency to remain with a tactical operation beyond the local window of Iris M30, without tying the unit to fixed runway infrastructure.

Mission role

Sustained strike support

Iris T establishes an orbit for the duration of a multi-asset engagement, feeding target movement, threat-axis changes and post-effect assessment into Sentinel.

Defensive overwatch

For a formation holding ground, Iris T watches the approach over a sustained period and provides early cueing into the shared operational picture.

Route reconnaissance

The platform surveys the area ahead of a moving formation and carries observations into Sentinel Fusion for wider context.

Multi-asset coordination

When several Tairos platforms operate in the same mission, Iris T provides a continuing overhead view for track confirmation, tasking context and assessment.

Configuration

  • Platform: tactical fixed-wing ISR.
  • Deployment: mobile and independent of fixed runway infrastructure.
  • User: company and battalion tactical formations.
  • Mission: sustained overwatch, route reconnaissance and multi-asset support.
  • System: Sentinel-native autonomy, communications and awareness sharing.

Key advantages

Fixed-wing efficiency

The wing carries the aircraft in cruise, making the platform the Iris answer for sustained tactical coverage.

Continuity through the operation

Iris T remains with the engagement instead of treating awareness as a short pre-mission snapshot.

Mobile deployment

The operating model avoids fixed runway dependence for both launch and recovery.

Shared picture

Its observations feed the same Sentinel environment used by connected strike, counter-air and support platforms.

Family fit

Iris M30 handles the portable local window. Iris T handles sustained tactical coverage. Iris M400 handles repeated fixed-site patrol from a dock.
