Iris M30

Iris M30 is the hand-launched, man-packable member of the Iris family. It gives a squad or platoon an organic view before, during and after a tactical action, then returns to the operator’s pack.

Mission role

Reconnaissance before action

Iris M30 moves ahead of the unit to establish the local picture: target area, access route, visible threats and changes in the terrain or position.

Target acquisition and handoff

The platform can pass imagery and tracks into Sentinel so a connected Tairos platform receives the same target picture without a manual radio relay between isolated systems.

Battle-damage assessment

After an effect, Iris M30 returns to the area, reports the result and helps the operator decide whether further action is required.

Local overwatch

For a defensive position or short tactical window, Iris M30 watches an approach and feeds changes into the shared operational picture.
