Distributed deployment

Launch is only half the problem. A mobile platform must also recover without creating a predictable fixed-infrastructure dependency.

Design rule

Tairos selects launch and recovery concepts around the operating environment:

  • portable and hand-deployed systems at the infantry edge;
  • mobile ground equipment for larger air platforms;
  • reusable platforms with mission-appropriate recovery;
  • distributed operator and communications equipment; and
  • fixed-site docks only where persistent site security is the actual requirement.

The dock-resident Iris configuration is a separate fixed-site use case, not the general combat-deployment rule.

System effect

Distributed deployment works with Relay, the ground segment and common operator equipment. A force can move platforms and network nodes without rebuilding a unique control system at each location.
